Care for a planned community
Summerlin is a large master-planned community on the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley, bordering Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Part of it lies within the City of Las Vegas, and part, including Summerlin South, is in unincorporated Clark County.
Many Summerlin neighborhoods follow village or community association landscape guidelines, so maintenance is often about keeping a designed landscape looking the way it was intended.

West valley
What shapes maintenance here
- Association guidelines: many homes belong to community associations with rules on plant choices, visible yard condition, and changes to front landscaping. We work from your association’s current guidelines.
- Higher ground: the western valley sits higher than the central valley, so winter nights can run cooler. Frost-tender plants may need their cleanup timed a little later in spring.
- Open-space edges: homes next to natural areas and trail corridors can see more wind-blown debris and volunteer seedlings in beds, which regular weeding keeps in check.
- Water: Summerlin addresses are generally served by the Las Vegas Valley Water District, so the same seasonal watering schedule applies.
